Please read up on the profile for known caller Justin/Blaze/Bobby. He calls on 988 and consistently presents with both suicidal and homicidal ideation. He has identified some people, by name, that he wants to kill, and this means that the crisis center has a “duty to warn” the intended target.
Please follow his guidelines and try to de-escalate when possible. The Homicide section in the counselor manual will be helpful in this endeavor. If you cannot de-escalate, and he is insisting on killing someone, gather all the information you can and convey this to Administrative Staff. Please try to find out who is the intended victim, where they might be, and any plan that this known caller has to commit homicide. Then text the Google Voice number, which can be found in the manual under “Staff Directory”. The on-call person will guide you at that point. You can also text the number after you end a call with him. Timeliness is important for this caller.
