Dear Volunteers,
HAPPY VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION MONTH!
April is Volunteer Appreciation Month. Throughout the year, we try to appreciate you in all the small ways that we can think of. However, this month is special because it is dedicated to the hard work and spirit of volunteerism that each and every one of you provides. We are a 24/7 agency that has been around since 1971! We answer calls and chats from all across Long Island and beyond. The ONLY reason that we can do the work we do, for as long as we have been doing it, is BECAUSE OF OUR VOLUNTEERS. We are so thankful to all of you, whether you have been with us only a few months, a few years, or 40 years!
We had a lovely time at our Volunteer Appreciation Party this past Saturday. Thank you to those who could make it and for those who could not, here is a sampling of what took place. We had several volunteers receive awards, and the list is below. We also had some fun catching up with old friends, making new friends, and eating good food. Please take a look at some photos that hightlight the day. Whether you are a remote counselor working many states away, or a counselor who comes in to Bellmore every week, you are a valued member of the LICC community! Please see below:
